Living Quarters -Usually housed in schools or churches -Sleep on the floor, airbed and mosquito nets provided for comfort/protection -Some places have extra foam mattresses that can be used as well -Most bathrooms are latrine style, must gather own water to flush, some did have running water -Showers are with cold water, it is imperative to learn to shower in a limited time without leaving the water on due to limited access at times |

Dining -Three meals cooked daily for the brigade by Shoulder to Shoulder’s cook Maria -Rice, beans and tortillas are staples for every meal. Other foods eaten include chicken, beef, eggs, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, fresh salsa and Honduran cheese. There are many opportunities to try traditional Honduran dishes like puposas (pan fried corn meal with cheese centers), fried plantanos (bananas), salsas and other types of dishes. -Clean drinking water is provided by Shoulder to Shoulder while you are there -If told, Maria is able to work around special dietary needs within reason |
